Hear everything said about you. Find everyone asking for you.

Signal reads the public web for your company, your competitors and your market. Every post is read by a model that decides whether it is really about you and whether someone should act on it — and shows you the words it decided on. An agent sets it all up from your website.

Northwind’s CSV export has been broken since Tuesday’s update and support hasn’t answered my ticket in four days. I need that file for a client report on Friday. Has anyone found a workaround?

Looking for an alternative to Contoso before our renewal in March

Why it’s a lead: names a competitor, a renewal date and a team of forty.

Of the posts judged to be about one of the four.

  1. 1,240posts readEvery post that named you, a competitor or a topic, on every source.
  2. 212about youThe rest were namesakes or noise. They stay out of your counts.
  3. 31need someoneComplaints, questions, churn risks and buyers, most urgent first.
  4. 6leadsPeople asking for what you sell, each with the reason.

An example night. Your own numbers are printed on every brief, so you can always see how much was read to reach them.

How it works

You give it a website. It gives you a morning’s reading, done.

No keyword lists to write, no boolean queries to maintain. The agent does the setup and the reading; people decide what to do about what it found.

  1. It reads your site and proposes what to listen for

Your names and products, the competitors a buyer weighs you against, the topics your market argues about, who buys and why — and what else shares your name.

  2. You check it, change it, and say go

Every proposal is a chip you can edit, with the reason it was proposed and where it was found. Nothing is read or spent until you confirm.

Listening

Know what is being said, and what of it needs you

  • About you, or only sharing your nameEach post is read against a description of your company. A namesake is ruled out by a reader, not by a keyword, and kept out of your counts.
  • What kind of post, and how it feels about youComplaint, question, churn risk, buying intent, comparison, feature request, review, praise, press — with urgency, so the inbox sorts itself.
  • Share of voice, with its denominatorYou against the competitors you chose, counted only from posts judged to be about each of you. The number always says what it was counted from.
  • A weekly brief with footnotesWhat changed and what needs a decision, in a few lines. Every line links to the posts behind it.

Leads

Find the people asking for what you sell

  • People asking, in their own words“Looking for”, “alternative to”, “switching from” — the posts where someone is choosing, found where they post.
  • The reason on every leadA sentence that quotes the post and says why it fits what you sell. Vendors advertising to the same people are left out.
  • Where your buyers actually talkThe agent proposes the communities your buyers use and keeps only the ones a real search proves.
  • Replies drafted, never sentA draft that follows the room’s rules and says who you are. You send it from your own account, or you don’t.

The namesake problem

Your product has a name. So does a film, a hotel and a word in the dictionary.

Keyword alerts match all of them, and a dashboard built on keyword alerts counts all of them. That is why most listening tools are mostly noise.

Signal deals with it twice. When it sets up, the agent tells you what it expects your names to collide with, before a single post is read. After that every post is read against what your company actually is, and anything that is not about you stays out of your counts, your share of voice and your brief. It is not deleted: you can see what was ruled out, and why.

Sources, stated plainly

What it reads, and what it doesn’t.

When a source fails or refuses us on a run, the run says so. An empty result never stands in for a broken one.

  • RedditPosts and comments, across the communities your terms appear in.
  • Hacker NewsStories, Ask HN threads and comments.
  • XPublic posts.
  • YouTubeVideos, and the comments under them.
  • Review sitesG2 and Capterra reviews of you and your competitors.
  • News and the open webArticles, blogs and forums, through web search.
  • GitHubIssues and discussions, where your market is technical.
  • TikTok and InstagramWhen you ask for them. Off by default.

What it doesn’t read

  • LinkedInIts terms forbid automated collection, and it has enforced them in court. We don’t work around that.
  • Private communitiesSlack and Discord servers, closed groups, anything behind a login or an invitation.
  • Messages and emailOnly what people have chosen to publish.
Trust

An agent you can check.

A model reads for you, so you should be able to see what it read, how sure it was, and what it cost. You can, everywhere.

  • We never post for you

Replies are drafts. You send them yourself, from your own account, or not at all.

  • Every claim links its evidence

A sentiment, a kind of post, a line in the brief: each links to the posts it came from.

  • Unsure is an answer

Every reading carries a confidence. Low ones are shown as unsure and kept out of the counts, never passed off as fact.

  • Spend capped, and shown in money

A trial runs on a fixed $10 budget. The agent checks it before every paid call, stops at the cap, and shows you what has been used.

  • Companies, products and topics — not people

It will not set up monitoring of a named private individual, whoever asks.

  • Your data stays yours

Only your workspace’s members see it. Export your leads whenever you like; we delete a workspace when you ask.

FAQ

Questions people ask first.

Something else? Write to us — a person reads it.

How does it tell a post about us from one that only shares our name?

When it sets up, the agent writes a description of your company from your own site and lists the namesakes it expects. Each post is then read against that description by a model, which answers yes, no or unsure, with a confidence.

You can read its reason on every post, and change the description whenever you like.

Does it ever post, reply or message anyone?

No. It drafts a reply when you ask for one. Sending is always a person, from their own account.

What does it cost?

Start with a free trial: 14 days on a fixed $10 budget, no card. The budget is shown in money and the product stops at it.

After the trial, talk to us. The price depends on how much you listen to.

How long does setup take?

A few minutes. Paste your website, confirm your email, check what the agent proposes, and say go. The first run reads the last 30 days; after that it reads every day.

How accurate is it?

It is a model reading posts, so it is sometimes wrong — and it says how sure it is, every time. Readings below a confidence threshold are shown as unsure instead of being counted.

When it gets one wrong you can see exactly what it read and why it decided, which is what you need to correct the description it works from.

Which languages does it read?

The model reads posts in most languages. Searches use the names and terms you confirm, so add the ones people use in each of your markets.

Why not LinkedIn?

LinkedIn forbids automated collection in its terms and has enforced that in court. We would rather tell you now than have you find the gap later.

Who can see our data?

The members of your workspace, and nobody else. Workspaces never share data with each other.

See what is being said about you.

Paste your website and confirm your email. The agent reads your site and shows you what it would listen for, and nothing runs until you say so.
